The philosophy of my life

Of all things you have to see how things turn out

Di tutte le cose bisogna vedere come vanno a finire

(Erodoto)

In this time of forced imprisonment at home (because of COVID-19) I am trying to put in order the photographic material that I have in my archive. The thing is not so simple: my archive has hundreds of thousands of photographs (slides, black and white photographs, etc.) from the 70’s and then a whole series of digital photo archives. I then take advantage of the possibility of creating a digital archive on the internet, and decided to re-open a website. My first website has not been updated since 2009. I have not yet decided how to organize the different pages. For the moment I have created three main sections. Many of the photos I started to digitize are part of the editorial projects that I presented over many years of photographic work.

Women of the World

Some years ago I presented a work on the Women of the World. The slide show began with a poem by Neruda “La Reina”.

In my life I have portrayed many women in their moments of life, in their most complete spontaneity.

I have never built a photograph.

I hope that the photos of the women I posted on my website show all their beauty, elegance, dignity even in extremely difficult situations of their lives
